Volunteer at JK25
We invite anyone, including those not competing, to help the Yorkshire & Humberside Orienteering Association to deliver JK25. A great range of roles are available, with some demanding specific expertise, and others simply requiring a can-do attitude and a smile
Vouchers
As a thank you, volunteers will be offered vouchers that can be redeemed at the food and equipment traders present during the 4 days of the event.
New for JK25, it will be possible to put vouchers towards the cost of merchandise. Those wishing to do this will need to pay the full price when ordering, but can hand in vouchers upon collection of their kit at the event to receive a monetary refund.
Offering to help
If you are competing... and are able to help in any capacity, please indicate which days you would be happy to help when you enter via SiEntries.
If you're not competing... then please fill in the form on this page with your offer of help. Can't see a form? Open it here.
Benefits
Being a volunteer at JK25 - whether from the YHOA region or further afield - brings many benefits:
- Satisfaction in having played your part in helping to stage the UK's premier orienteering event.
- Enjoying some food or merchandise 'on the house', as a thank you for your efforts
- Working together as part of a team of both familiar and new faces: volunteering is a great way to meet other orienteers from across the UK.
- Learning how all the different parts of the event organisation fits together, of particular interest for major event organisers of the future.
- Helping to create a fun and welcoming atmosphere, whatever your role!
